Nature Walks
Join the Recreation Department on a guided nature walk through the Bosque.
Learn about the flora and fauna that is indigenous to New Mexico and the
restoration project underway along the Rio Grande.

Tennis Lesson
Enjoy a game of tennis on one of our two tennis courts. Work one-on-one with
a tennis instructor. Learn the basic and advanced levels of play.

Discover the fantastic adventures of Hot Air Ballooning. Advanced reservations

Clay & Culture
Work hands on with a pueblo member as you mold clay in the traditional way
using the pinch and coil methods of pottery making. Create and paint your
very own pottery piece to take home as a memory of your visit to Tamaya.

Adobe Brick Making
Learn how to make a traditional adobe brick. You and your
family will learn about the history and techniques in creating an adobe brick. Bricks
will dry overnight and will be delivered the following day.

Jewelry Making
Learn the techniques of jewelry stamping by a traditional Navajo Jeweler. You will
create your own personal stamped-copper bracelet to take home.

Stories Under the Stars
Experience the old tradition of storytelling and s’mores making…under the stars. On
select evenings, sit back, relax, and take in the New Mexico night sky, while enjoying
traditional storytelling and s’mores over one of Tamaya’s fire pits.

Camp Tamaya
Here at Tamaya we have the greatest Camp Hyatt program that is filled with fun experiences
for kids ages 3 to 12. While your parents head off on their own adventures
throughout the resort, you can have fun with us learning about this amazing
place called Tamaya


Hanging out at the Pool
Enjoy one of the two heated pools located in our Grand Courtyard. Our Kiva
Pool, represents a meeting place for the pueblo people to gather and enjoy
one’s company. It is geared to those wanting to relax in a more quiet setting.
Our Plaza Pool & Water slide, represent the gathering area similar to those
found on an actual Pueblo.

Towel Hut
